The Overlord is the farm of the Zerg army. For 100 crystal this bad boy provides 8 food as well as the ability to scout and, once the Lair is upgraded too, generate creep that your units can use to move faster. The generate creep ability of the Overlord can create a 'creep highway' for your units to move on, giving a strategic advantage to your army. Lastly, the Overlord, if upgraded, can be a transport unit for Zerg troops, allowing Zerg players to do the dreaded 'doom drops.' Also, Overlords can be morphed into Overseers, a Zerg unit that can detect invisible units as well as has special abilities. The Overlord is a Airborne Heavy Transport and has a unit type of Armored - Biological.
