The Hellion is the StarCraft 2 Terran replacement for the Vulture. The Hellion is a quick unit that does a heavy dose of damage vs. light units - with a pre-igniter upgrade that increases this further. With that, the Hellion is particularly effective at taking out Hydralisks, Zerglings, Zealots and Marines as it does extra damage vs. light and has a linear splash in the form of its flamethrower. The Hellions primary role often is to take out worker lines and harass as well. A few Hellions in the back of an opponents base can quickly wreak havoc.
