Ultralisk Pushing the Base

How to properly use your Ultralisks to push in on your opponents base and be the tank your army needs. With the Ultralisks massive building damage, armor and hp in StarCraft 2 it should be the first unit to lead the attack on an enemy base.

When your opponent has a large base blockade.   Ultralisk is used for this strategies

Send in your Ultralisks to push on the blockade with their massive building attack strength.
 

[Tips for Pulling This Off]

It is wise to Frenzy your Ultralisk before such an attack as well as bring in supporting ranged units to help get more total DPS on the structures and allow the Ultralisks to push into the base. Also, providing air support may help as pushing a blockade is extremely difficult.

This is great whenever you are blocked out of an opponents' base. Your Ultralisks do 75 damage a shot to buildings and can quickly destroy blockading buildings.   This is bad if the blockade is extremely durable buildings (Gateways, Barracks, etc.) and backed by a large group of ranged units. Your Ultralisks, unless in large numbers, may not be able to deal much damage.

If you are successful continue to push targeting key structures and units along the way. Also, if some Ultralisks are very low on health it is advised to pull them back and allow them to heal while the rest of your army pushes through in case you need them later.   If you fail go back to the drawing board. This base is a hard one to crush and you might need to Nydus, Air Push, or just starve them out with map control.
