[What to do] |
| Move an overlord to the back or side of your opponents base and spawn a Nydus Canal in your opponents base. |
|
| |
[Tips for Pulling This Off] |
| It is advised to put this in a location where it will not be easily seen and will also be hard to reach in time to destroy it. Also, creating a distraction right before or after placing a Nydus Canal can help to ensure it finishes building. Also, move your units after they spawn so the Nydus Canal can keep unloading units, it cannot unload units if it is surrounded by units. |

Good vs. These Races / Strategies: |
|
Bad vs. These Races / Strategies: |
| This is great when your opponent leaves a large empty area in the back of their base or if they have their army out on patrol or defending a forward location. |
|
This is bad if your opponent is turtling in a tight base area as the Nydus Canal will usually be seen in time to destroy it. |

What to do in Success: |
|
What to do in Failure: |
| Unleash the Swarm from the Nydus Canal and destroy your opponents' base from the inside out. Be ready for a counter or to face a large contingent of your opponents army in the back of their base after it is opened. Rebuild your troops rapidly and scout the entrance to their base or their expansions to see if you can hit other targets. |
