Mutalisk Worker Harassment

How to effectively harass your opponents' workers, and their base, with your Mutalisks. Mutalisks in StarCraft 2, like in the original, are extremely effective at harassing worker lines.

Use this if you have a Mutalisk build or if you are going for some economic Harassment.   Mutalisk is used for this strategies
     

[What to do]

Send your Mutalisks behind the enemies Mineral line and attack the workers. Sending them in undetected is best.
 

[Tips for Pulling This Off]

Go in as unnoticed as possible and quickly focus down on the workers. If they bring in anti-air troops decide: Can you take them out as they are small in number and then continue harassing or do you need to bounce to keep your Mutalisks alive. Always have an escape route. And be able to bounce between main and expansion(s) if possible for maximum harassment.

This is great vs. any race and best used if they have little or no anti-air.   This is bad if your opponent has a good amount of anti-air in their base.

What to do in Failure:

Continue to harass. If you are extremely successful your Mutalisks might be able to stay in the opponents base and destroy it without additional support. Also, watch for a counter attack on your base.   If you fail see if you can harass any structures or lone units before heading back to your base. Quickly build an army to face/counter whatever your opponent is building. Continue to scout and try to harass cautiously with your Mutalisks going forward.
