Mass Mutalisk

How to Mass Mutalisks so that almost nothing stands a chance against them. There's just one thing to watch out for. Mass Mutalisks in StarCraft 2 is just as devastating as in the original but you still need to watch out for that Area Effect damage.

Mass a ton of Mutalisks (more than 20) and wreak havoc on your opponents.
 

[Tips for Pulling This Off]

Save up your Mutalisks early on when building them playing extra defensively. Then, when you have a very large amount, go in and focus down on buildings and units quickly. One round of shots from 20+ Mutalisks will kill most towers and defensive structures instantly as well as help to tear through even mid-sized anti-air armies.

This is good in so many cases because the air units can stack and deal a massive amount of damage with each volley. The damage to density ratio is extremely high.   This is extremely bad vs. Raven Hunter Seekers, Thor's, Templar with Storm or if your opponent wants to repeatedly Fungal Growth and outrange your Mutalisks.

What to do in Failure:

Continue to push and harass your enemies. Look for critical structures (i.e. Starports or Factories with Tech Labs, Templar Archives, Hydralisk Dens, etc.) so that your opponent has little chance to recover from the overwhelming air Horde.   If you fail escape with as many Mutalisks as possible and tech switch to something else saving your Mutalisks for more of a utility role.
