Mothership Vortex

How to properly Vortex an opponents army to make sure you can't lose the fight. The Mothership in StarCraft 2 has the Vortex ability which can easily suck up all or part of an opponents army and make the fight far easier for you.

When to Use:		Featured Units:
When your opponent has a large army fighting against your army, or if you were caught off guard.

[What to do]
Cast Vortex on a large clump of the units.


[Tips for Pulling This Off]
- Cast the Vortex on a good portion of the enemies army so you can deal with only part of the army at a time.- Cast the Vortex where your units are not going so you will keep all of your army fighting.- Position your troops to have a surround or other advantage on the troops that will come out of the Vortex.

This is great whenever two large armies face off. You can eliminate half of the opponents army temporarily or you can try to trap their army and run away if you feel you cannot win the fight.		This is bad if you miscast Vortex and caught some of your own units or your units 'chased' your opponents units into the Vortex.

What to do in Success:		What to do in Failure:
- Wait for the Vortex to end and destroy the opponents' remaining troops.- Push into the opponents base.		- If you can still win the fight then continue to fight.- If you can't win the fight Retreat as quickly as possible.

This is a video that features the most powerful unit in StarCraft 2, the Mothership. The Mothership is a very strong unit, but in all reality it is really just a huge lurking caster unit. It's greatest asset is it's ability to use Vortex - a temporal rift that sucks units in a certain area into it for 20 seconds. If used properly, Vortex is the most powerful ability in the game that can quickly turn the tide of a battle, or a game, in your favor.

One shot any army with archons and vortex

if you've got a vortex down, then put your archons in the vortex with the opponents army. Archons do splash damage when they come out of vortex, enough Archons one hit any army.
