Rock Destruction Surprise Attacks

Destroying Rocks near your enemies base to surprise attack them. Destructible Rocks are a new feature in StarCraft 2 that allows alternative strategies for players to use to disturb and harass their opponents.

When to Use:

 

Featured Units:

Use this whenever you are playing on a map that has rocks that allow different paths to your opponents base.  
     

[What to do]

Destroy the Rocks in between your army and your opponents' base.
 

[Tips for Pulling This Off]

- Scout the entrance with a flying unit if you can (to see up the ramp or past the rocks).- Quickly destroy the rocks and move in to take out vital targets.- Leverage the two entrances to your advantage by making your opponent guard both of them, splitting his army and defense.

This is great vs. any races. It is particularly good when your opponent is not watching his 'back door' or if they are turtling their front entrance.   This is not as good if your opponent has a highly mobile army. Also, it is not good if they spot it coming and they surprise your surprise attack.

- Continue to push in on your opponents base.- When attacking from one side send another force in on the other side to destroy their base as their defense might be pulled off of that side.- Keep pressure on your opponents entrances to not allow them to expand as easily.   - Head back to your base if you don't have enough forces to harass your enemy.
