Fast Banshee Rush Build Order

The Banshee Rush is a quick air rush strategy for Terran Players in StarCraft 2. The Banshee rush invovles quickly teching to air and then bringing the pain to the enemies worker line and potentially tech structures.

Scouting Needs:

Optimal Map Conditions:

Scout their base to see if they are countering air or if they are massing early troops. Also, determining where the enemy base is vital to a quick and effective strike.

Medium to Large 1v1 Maps and Medium to Large Maps for 2v2's or more.


Vs Terran:	Vs Protoss:	Vs Zerg:
This build is good as it counters most mach builds as only marines provide early counters to this.	This build is good vs. Protoss but can easily be countered by Phoenix, scout for early Phoenix.	This build can be good vs. Zerg but be careful of quick Hydralisks. Also, With Queens you will need to likely bring in at least 3 Banshees.

What to Watch out For:

Watch out for quick anti-air counters. Stalkers, Hydralisks, Mass Marines and any form of anti-air base defense. If there are some early anti-air units but no base defense cloak will be highly effective in controlling the map and harassing the enemies base.

Tips for Pulling off the Attack:

Quickly bring your banshees to the mineral line while watching for anti-air. Destroying as many workers as quickly as possible is key. Also, watch for small anti-air groups or singular or in construction anti-air defense as you can take that out before it impacts you. If you see things like a starport, cannons or other crucial building you may want to take that out instead.

Transitioning out of this Strategy:

If harassment goes well you may have closed out the game. If harassment went well you can quickly expand and start building land troops to overwhelm your opponent while continuing to look for opportunities to harass. If harassment went poorly turtle up and try to make a controlled expansion as you will be slightly behind in army size but your economy should still be in tact.
