Double Command Center Opening Build Order

This build order allows early orbital command without expanding early. This build will grant you an additional mule or energy for scans. This economic build can prepare the Terran player a very strong mid game.

    • 10 Supply Depot
    • 12 Barracks
    • 16 CommandCenter
    • 16 Marine
    • 17 Orbital Command
    • 18 Supply Depot
    • 19 Double Refinery
    • Upgrade to Orbital Command after Command Center finishes
     

Scouting Needs:

 

Optimal Map Conditions:

Scout the enemy base to see if they are putting on early agreesion against you.   Medium to Large sized maps are optimal

Vs Zerg:

Scouting is absolutely essential against a terran player. Terran has the most diverse unit cominbation so there are many strategies that could push or rush early. Watch out for a terran seige tank and bunker contain. It is difficult to break out of that.   Stalker harass can be difficult for the Terran player to deal with, build a bunker on the ledge to stop this kind of harassment.   Watch out for zerglings sneaking by your orbital command. The wall needs to be carefully posiitoned to close off entries to the base.
         
         

What to Watch out For:

Watch out for cloaked units, scout often to keep an eye on what the opponent is doing.
 

Tips for Pulling off the Attack:

Early cheese strategies can be difficult to stop because the chock might not be successfully blocked on maps with wider entrances. Use SCVs with marine backup to guard the choke. Build bunker at the ramp to prevent push and harassment.
 

Transitioning out of this Strategy:

This build order can provide a very strong Terran mid game. Depending on the enemy race, 1-1-1 and mech play are both very strong with a strong economy.
 

Starcraft 2 Terran Build Order


Hey, this is SCVrush giving you guys another Terran build order. This one is going to be on a fast expansion build order called double command center opening.

This starcraft 2 build order is really effective on large maps like kulas ravine or lost temple. any map with 4 players and large number of expansion. The reason why this build order is so effective is because it allows the terran player to have a very strong mid game push on the enemy's base.

In this video, I will be talking about some basic tips on this strategy and build order.
1. Scouting the enemy base properly using Scv, scan or flying barracks. This way you can tech switch relatively fast with good economics.
2. How to properly place turrets to maximize their efficiency

The Terran build order goes like this:
9 depot
12 barracks
save up 400 minerals to build a command center
after command center, you can build a refinery/bunker to defend your base. Make sure you scout the enemy well because if they are rushing, you must cut workers to get defense up as soon as possible for this build order.
