Scouting Needs: |
|
Optimal Map Conditions: |
| Because expanding early is risky, it is advised to build a few early troops to defend at a chokes |
|
4 player maps are optium for this strategy. If the enemy have a harder time finding you, you have an advantage. |
| |

|
| |
Vs Terran: |
|
Vs Protoss: |
|
Vs Zerg: |
| Make sure you produce out of your single gateway with chrono boost to defend against early agression marauders or reapers. |
|
Use it on large maps. |
|
Avoid this with zerg players because zerglings and early push can be too difficult to stop. |

What to Watch out For: |
|
| |
Tips for Pulling off the Attack: |
| To defend against early agression, build a zealot to stop early harassment while your cybernetics core is building. Save your chrono boost to get your troops out from a single gateway. Delay your second gas so you build as much unit from your gateway and expand. |
| |
Transitioning out of this Strategy: |
| After the expansion is building, build about 2-3 gateways and research warpgate. This is important because the enemy is probably making a strong push early game now. Warpgate research will allow you to get enough units to defend against this. By having good early scouts, you could decided to go into a 3gateway robo build or 4 gateway stalkers with additional resource to upgrade and tech. |
